Overview

LIGHTBEARER is a three-mode distortion that covers the full spectrum from warm overdrive to searing fuzz — with an octave-up GLARE generator that adds harmonic chaos on demand. Three voicings (FUZZ UP, OVERDRIVE, FUZZ DOWN) each shaped by asymmetric waveshaping algorithms modeled after classic germanium circuits. The GLARE knob introduces full-wave rectified octave-up harmonics through a bandpass filter, gated by an envelope follower so it only activates when you’re actually playing. Clean up with the active two-band SHAPE EQ. Blend in parallel dry signal for clarity under the heaviest fuzz.

• Three Distortion Modes — FUZZ UP (upper-mid searing), OVERDRIVE (balanced, symmetric), FUZZ DOWN (low-end doom). 5ms crossfade between modes for click-free switching.
• GLARE Octave Generator — Full-wave rectification through a 1.5-4kHz bandpass filter with envelope-follower gating. From subtle shimmer to full ring-mod chaos.
• Active SHAPE EQ — Dual-shelf design: ±6dB at 150Hz, ±5dB at 4kHz. Sculpt the drive tone without external EQ.
• Parallel BLEND — Phase-coherent dry/wet mixing. Keep your clean tone intact under the heaviest fuzz settings.
• HQ Oversampling — 2x/4x FIR oversampling with automatic latency compensation. Alias-free distortion at any gain level.
• Noise Gate — Mild (-55dB) or Strong (-35dB) gating to tame high-gain noise between phrases.
